We are looking for 2 experienced and dynamic Occupational Therapist to join our innovative and friendly Enabling Independence Team within Integrated Care Service. Enabling Independence Team support Adults and Children with disabilities across London Borough of Barking and Dagenham to live safely and independently in the community.
These are permanent positions where the successful candidates will be involved in developing occupational therapy plans in response to the need for specialist equipment, home adaptations, assistive technology and appropriate housing solutions to promote the independence of adults and children with disabilities. You will positively contribute to the achievement of joint working by referring, liaising, consulting and collaborating effectively with other professionals; working with the statutory, voluntary and private sectors to identify and meet the needs of service users, families and carers.

Special requirements for this post
You will be a qualified OT and have an up to date registration with HCPC This post carries a requirement to have an Enhanced DBS check for both Children and Adults.
About you
A qualified OT with experience and knowledge of moving and handling, major adaptations, and an ability to supervise OTAs or trusted assessors.
You will be passionate, caring and dedicated as well as being someone who is able to think outside the box and develop creative solutions. You are committed to relationship-based practice in all your interactions with staff and service users. You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work with a broad range of people and partners, including working respectfully with clients, and families and wider systems partnerships in a truly co-productive way that encourages individuals to develop their own solutions and to identify what support they require.
Your strong interpersonal skills will allow you to work to deliver innovative and integrated services that provide value for money. You will be keen to develop yourself, your practice and drive up practice standards. You should aspire to be the very best in everything you do.
