Team leader Residential Care
London Borough of Barking and Dagenham
About this job
Kallar Lodge is a residential care home owned by the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham, providing a warm, welcoming, and supportive environment where residents are encouraged to feel safe, comfortable, and at home. The service supports adults aged 65 and over, specialising in the care of people living with dementia. Kallar Lodge offers 44 spacious en-suite bedrooms across three floors and provides high-quality, person‑centred care tailored to individual needs. Residents benefit from a range of well-maintained communal spaces, including lounges, dining areas, and the Lake Room, where they can take part in social activities, enjoy afternoon teas, and relax while overlooking the lake.
The home is further enhanced by landscaped gardens to the rear and side, as well as two internal courtyard areas, one of which includes a bird aviary, supporting a calm and therapeutic environment.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Leader to join our established staff team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high standards of care, supporting and supervising staff, and contributing to the ongoing development of the service as we continue to provide residential and end‑of‑life care to people who can no longer remain living at home in the community.
