<p>To work as a member of the team in providing support and intervention to residents facing a wide range of issues including challenges in meeting their care and support needs, relationships with others, their safety, financial security and health • Provide sign posting, mediated support and targeted advice and guidance to residents which promotes their independence and self-reliance • Work with the Community and Voluntary Sector and partners to ensure services to residents are delivered in a holistic, customer focused way. • Work with individuals or families who have limited self-sufficiency / resilience in areas from example low skills, unemployment, poor health, poor housing conditions, potential homelessness, family breakdown, domestic violence, substance dependency amongst others.</p>

Special requirements for this post

<p><span>The role involves hybrid working arrangements, with time split between home and Barking Town Hall, as well as face-to-face meetings within the Barking and Dagenham community. Given the sensitive nature of working with adults at risk the post is subject to an Enhanced DBS clearance </span></p>

About you

<p><span>This role is a wonderful opportunity to join the service to support residents in living safe, happy, and healthy lives. </span>You will help our service deliver high quality care services to adults at risk and older people requesting support. You will be working as part of a service in Adult Social Care and Support. Together with your colleagues, you will help coordinate support functions, enabling our front-line teams to focus on providing services to adults and older people who rely on us. You must be highly organised and able to think on your feet - thriving without close direction. We need a skilled communicator who can deal directly with residents, partners and senior colleagues. Someone who can build cross-organisational relationships and bring innovative solutions to get work done. You will also need a sensitive approach when dealing with some of the confidential matters involved in our work.
