Refugee Resettlement Officer

Are you passionate about supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives and thrive within their communities?
This rewarding role supports individuals and families arriving in the UK through Government resettlement and relocation schemes, helping them access services, secure housing, live independently and successfully integrate into the local community.
Working as part of our Resettlement Team, you will play a key role in delivering person-centred support, promoting community cohesion and developing strong partnerships with statutory agencies, landlords, community groups and local residents.
You will be responsible for providing practical support, guidance and advocacy to refugees and other resettled groups, along with:
Developing and delivering holistic support plans and risk assessments.
Promoting integration and community cohesion.
Conducting welfare visits and safeguarding checks, making referrals where appropriate.
Supporting clients to access welfare benefits, healthcare, education, employment and specialist services.
Working with landlords, housing providers and internal housing teams to secure suitable accommodation.
Coordinating property inspections and help resolve housing-related issues.
We are looking for someone who is committed to supporting vulnerable people and enjoys working in partnership with a wide range of organisations and communities. It is essential that you have experience of experience supporting vulnerable individuals and engaging with local communities, as well as having:
Strong ICT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Experience maintaining records, case files and spreadsheets.
Knowledge of the UK welfare and benefits system.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The ability to prioritise competing demands and meet deadlines.
A flexible, resilient and customer-focused approach.
A full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes (Essential Car User).
